Personality is about our different ways of being human. How we are all variations on the same themes. How the human nature we all share manifests in different styles of thinking, feeling and acting.
Personality can be determined through a variety of tests. However, dimensions of personality and scales of personality tests vary and often are poorly defined.
Your character is a mix of four basic personality types: sanguine, phlegmatic, choleric and melancholic. Around 50% of the variations in human personality are defined by genetic factors. However, the personality itself is built up of two completely different traits; character and temperament.
One's character come from his/her experience like parent's behavior, cultural aspects etc. Temperament is the combination of mental, physical and emotional ways of a person or else we can call it as the natural predisposition of a human's way of thinking & feeling in a certain way.
According to Carl G. Jung's theory people can be characterized by their preference of general attitude
- Extraverted (E) vs. Introverted (I)
- Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N)
- Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F)
- Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P)
According to the above main categories we can have 16 different personality types.
